Does Chamomile Inhibit Mast Cells?

Research has shown that chamomile inhibits mast cells from releasing histamine.⁣⁣

With cold weather in the UK, it’s perfect for a nice hot cup of tea, not only to help you warm up but also to help keep your health.

But I don't often drink chamomile tea. Should I start?⁣⁣

I love Tulsi, but maybe I could get into this too...⁣⁣

When asked this question on my Instagram, here’s what some followers said:

I am literally even terrified to retry after many years chamomile because it triggered crazy bad reaction where my eyes were swollen and I couldn't see. Had to go to GP.

I drink 4-5 cups a day, I started in September after my last BIG flare up, and not drunk another type of tea since then. I hated the taste. But made myself drink it and now it's fine , although how many times have I burnt myself thinking its cool enough now........I heard it was great as you said before, hence why I tried it.

Chamomile tea makes my stomach ache, I’m certain it’s histamine related.

It seems that chamomile tea causes a histamine reaction in some for others, it improves sleep and helps with nasal congestion.
