EFT and Histamine Intolerance

Oh, just tapping on a tropical beach over here.

EFT, aka “Tapping,” is a powerful type of energy psychology. It uses ancient Chinese medicine techniques to help boost energy levels and reduce stress, by tapping on various parts of the body. Its most powerful application, for me, is to switch off the fight or flight response.

This is clearly of massive interest to anyone with histamine intolerance, but may sound a bit woo, so let’s look at the science.

Compelling studies have confirmed its effectiveness, showing declines in anxiety (−40%), depression (−35%), posttraumatic stress disorder (−32%), pain (−57%), and (my favorite one) Happiness (+31%). (1) Another study noted:

Clinical EFT is a stable and mature method with an extensive evidence base. These characteristics have led to growing acceptance in primary care settings as a safe, rapid, reliable, and effective treatment for both psychological and medical diagnoses (2).

And anecdotally I’ve seen how well it works. Since I stumbled upon it, I’ve sent a lot of people on my podcast to EFT (Zestology episode #105 is a good place to start), and I’m always surprised and pleased at how effective it is.

It certainly helps me with destressing and relaxing - which helps with histamine symptoms.
