Skin Products for Histamine Related Skin Issues

If you have histamine intolerance, you may experience skin issues after eating foods that contain histamine or after taking medications that release histamine. For some, symptoms include swollen eyes, flakey skin, itchiness around the eyes etc. which are similar to seasonal allergies.

Hives are also common with histamine. Small red bumps may appear anywhere on your skin. And your skin may start to itch. Sometimes you may notice this more in summer or hot weather.

You may be able to improve your symptoms by avoiding high-histamine foods and using skincare products that are histamine friendly.

I’m testing out two separate skin products at the moment for histamine-related skin issues⁣.

On the left -Zeoderm by Bioskin. Containing zeolite to help with histamine (I hope)⁣.

On the right - The Ordinary Buffet + Copper Peptides.⁣

I like them both a lot, although I must be honest neither is a miracle cure.

The main thing is they don’t cause a reaction for me, although of course, always consult your health professional before changing your diet or regime, including skincare.⁣
