Why Keeping a Histamine Diary is Essential

Keep a histamine diary - because what's measured, improves. (And you can show your practitioner.)

“What’s measured, improves.”

- Legendary productivity guru, Peter Drucker

Potential areas to track:

  • Symptom severity

  • Foods you aren’t sure about

  • Amount of food

  • Time of meals

  • Drink (especially alcohol)

  • Energy

  • Mood

  • Focus

  • Workout length and quality

  • Length of sleep

  • Quality of sleep

  • What time you went to bed

  • Heart rate

  • Heart rate variability

  • Food eaten

  • Supplements taken (a really important one to track)

  • Any of the techniques I teach for destressing.

  • Papaya consumption!

  • And so on…

The journey to understanding your body's reactions to histamine is a continuous one. There will be days of discovery and days of setbacks. However, with a histamine diary in hand, you're equipped with a powerful tool.
