How You Can Improve Your Sleep

How You Can Improve Your Sleep

When you can improve your sleep, your histamine levels goes down and when you can lower your histamine levels, your sleep improves. ⁣

It's an area where we can make clear improvements - but it's also a vicious circle when you start to sleep badly. Then, our histamine levels go up and we sleep worse and so on.⁣

Oof. ⁣

Clearly sleep is really important when you are histamine intolerant. ⁣

So what are your sleep tips? ⁣

Mine include; blue-blocking glasses from Blu Blocker, a red filter over my alarm clock, eye mask, mouth tape and these very effective earplugs from QuietOn⁣.

Why these tools?

Well, we all know that looking at screens in the evening is bad for our sleep. Blue-blocking glasses can help offset some of the negative effects by filtering the blue light from our screens. For the same reason, I put a red filter over my alarm clock to avoid even more blue light in my sleep space.

Eye masks block out light and make it easier to fall asleep. Mouth tape helps you to breathe through your nose instead of your mouth, which has been shown to lead to better sleep.

You can use simple surgical tape or buy tape made specifically for mouth taping. I talk about my experience with mouth tape in this blog post. And of course, earplugs are a classic sleep aid, especially for those of us who may live in noisy areas. I trust my QuietOn earplugs to give me a quiet environment to fall—and stay—asleep.

I also currently take S. Boulardi before bed along with magnesium and (sometimes) Vitamin C. ⁣
