Histamine lowering ingredients include apple and pea shoots. What are your preferred histamine-lowering foods?
Since I first used this recipe, I’ve wondered whether I react a little to coconut water. Coconut products are generally regarded as lower in histamine but, like so many foods in our world, individuals react differently to them. I now choose to make this without coconut water.
Ingredients
2 apples (✓)
2 cups pea shoots (✓)
2 tsp. fresh ginger, or from frozen is also fine (✓)
(optional) 1½ cup coconut water (✓ - in theory low histamine but I used water)
